The project is about one of the Icelandic Viking sagas. It is interactive and very user friendly, you only have to use the mouse and it is impossible to get lost. The graphic should help the user to keep the concentration and be in the right Viking move. You can both gain knowledge by going through interactive maps or read information about the main characters and their family trees. The biggest part of the project is the interactive questions about the people and places in the story. The main characters (personur) and places (stadir) in the story are as buttons in alphabetic order to the right of the screen and the questions appear on the left. The project allows very different questions and you only have to press on the buttons and then submit the answer (stadfesta) to get feedback. If you are not able to answer the questions the right answer will be colored after three attempts. You can also take test (prof) and get results. This form can have huge database and now there are about 400 questions in the database. This is very modern way to preserve very old cultural heritage of the country.
The program is designed for 1024 by 768 pixels Screen resolution and Internet Explorer 6.0

This Viking story is taught in every school in Iceland and the project is a nice method to teach students in interactive way about very old Viking stories. The transferability to other projects and countries are easy and with very simple changes it is possible to use the same format to teach people about some stories in Italy or wherever. By changing the graphics and put new persons and places on the buttons a totally new program is created. It can be historical as well and teach people about the main characters and places of certain periods in history of all Europe or only a small region in south of France for example. The flexibility is great
