Evaluation

All projects are evaluated online. Evaluators are experts in the use of ICT in education.

Following initial screening, eligible projects are assigned to evaluators in different countries in Europe.  Wherever possible, evaluators do not evaluate projects from their own country.

Evaluators score projects in different criteria to identify a shortlist of potential winners.  They also identify candidates for special awards.  eLearning Awards Partners may be involved in the selection of special award winners for the prizes they sponsor.

Evaluators consider the following criteria:

- pedagogical innovation
- technical quality
- promotion of active learning
- content
- evidence of networking and collaboration
- transferability

Judges, who are respected authorities in the field of ICT in education, then evaluate the projects short-listed by the evaluators and select the winners.

The selection of the Top 100 and winners is final. No discussion will be entered into on this matter.
