The award was presented at a magnificent ceremony at the Round Table Conference in Bruges on 7 December 2006.
Piotr Mroz, a board member at Young Digital Planet, presented the proud teacher Francesco Zanaboni with a crystal trophy and a cheque of € 5000 for his school.
Professor Derrick de Kerckhove, Director of the McLuhan programme at the University of Toronto and President of the Jury said:
“This is a lovely site, with high production values and depth. It has received top marks for all criteria, especially for community building and networking as it stimulates lasting communications between various European countries as well as providing quality academic content. Its transferability is such that it ought to be emulated by many other inter-European collaborations on line in the next few years.”
