„Copernicus – online learning” is an e-learning – service of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano - South Tyrol, financed through the European Social Fond. Its aim is to offer a new and flexible access to media based learning for all teachers and students, who make use of technical equipments in classrooms and at home. The Copernicus System works in coordination of five different departments, Personnel Development, Italian, German and Ladin, Agriculture, Forestry and Home Economics Professional Education and the department of Informatics of the provincial authorities in collaboration with the South Tyrolean Informatics Inc. A steering committee provides strategic guidelines for the system. A central technical infrastructure with server is built upon an ILIAS – platform. The LMS-system among other instruments allows the organisation and administration of educational propositions. An experienced troop and an observation point provide information regarding didactic programmes, educational methods and data as well as supporting material. A consultation service for teaching methods and technology provides information under info@copernicus.bz.it. A group of educationalists promotes qualitative development of educational e-learning material. This group is also engaged in experimenting and researching new medial material for educational purpose. At the moment e-learning courses such as “ECDL-online”, “Project-management” and “chairing meetings” are being held. “Technology enhanced learning” is a project where a “virtual classroom” is designed and tested.
„Copernicus – neues Lernen“ ist ein vom Europäischen Sozialfond finanziertes eLearning - Service der Autonomen Provinz Bozen – Südtirol. Ziel ist, einen neuen und flexiblen Zugriff auf Medien gestütztes Lernen für alle Lehrende und Lernende, die sich beim Lernen in der Klasse und im Fernstudium der Technologie bedienen, anzubieten. Das Copernicus System wird von den fünf Abteilungen Personalentwicklung, italienische, deutsch - ladinische, land-, forst- und hauswirtschaftliche Berufsbildung und Informatik der Landesverwaltung gemeinsam mit der Südtiroler Informatik AG koordiniert. Eine Lenkungsgruppe gibt die strategischen Leitlinien für das System vor. Eine zentrale technologische Infrastruktur mit Server ist auf einer Ilias-Plattform aufgebaut. Ein LMS-System wie andere Instrumente ermöglichen die Organisation und die Verwaltung der Bildungsangebote. Eine Erfahrungsgemeinsschaft und eine Beobachtungsstelle stellen Informationen zu didaktischen Programmen, Methoden, Materialien und Hilfsmittel für die Bildungsangebote zur Verfügung. Ein Beratungsdienst für Didaktik und Technologie steht für Informationen unter info@copernicus.bz.it zur Verfügung. Eine Pädagogische Gruppe fördert die qualitative Entwicklung der didaktischen eLearning Angebote und prüft den Erfolg der Aktivitäten. Sie führt auch Versuchs- und Forschungsarbeiten zu neuen Bildungsmedien durch. Derzeit laufen eLearning Kursangebote wie „ECDL-online“, „Projektmanagement“ und „Leiten von Sitzungen“. Im Projekt „Technology enhanced learning“ wird ein Modell für ein „virtuelles Klassenzimmer“ erarbeitet und erprobt.
